Cerebro / Brain (2024)

Scenic piece resulting from a process of practical research on the brain organ, its potential, functions and imaginary. The initiative corresponds to the third section of the project Anatomía, la mirada de otr@s, (Anatomy, the gaze of others) a project that explores the crossovers between dance and anatomy.

La Sala de Espera / The Waiting Room (2023)

La Sala de Espera combines architecture and dance to explore the possibilities of bodies in waiting spaces, through a choreographic piece developed in the manner of a roman feuilleton. The project, through architectural speculation and choreographic creation, questions the infra-ordinary character of waiting rooms and elaborates on the potential, not only creative but also public and social, of waiting in the different spaces of the contemporary pandemic city.

Pulmón / Lung (2023)

Pulmón is a scenic piece that resulted from a process of practical research on the phenomenon of breathing. The initiative corresponds to the second section of the project Anatomía, la mirada de otr@s (Anatomy, the gaze of others). It is proposed as a dialogue between dance and medicine, asking about the materiality of the body, not only as a dissection, but as the forms, volumes and fluids that determine us.

Rara Avis (2023)

Rara Avis is a choreographic and audiovisual work directed by the emblematic choreographer Nuri Gutés. It displays the language and poetics of this outstanding national artist in dialogue with the audiovisual artist Rosario Gonzalez.

It is an interdisciplinary project that through choreography, bodies, planes and geography, registers the feminine existence both in its way of identifying itself with a worn-out territory, as well as the insinuation of a fragile life.

Gineceo / Gynaeceum (2021)

Audiovisual piece directed by the outstanding artist Nuri Gutés together with well-known performers of the national scene. Recorded in pandemic in the premises of the Museum of Contemporary Art. It is a dialogue between the bodies, the movement language of this relevant choreographer, the architecture of the museum and the camera.

MareaLab (2019)

MareaLab is an improvisation structure resulting from the workshop of the same name guided by the outstanding national artist Elizabeth Rodríguez. In this choreographic structure the artist’s improvisation strategies are deployed, based on numerical combinations that generate different relationships of tension and interaction between bodies.

Cuerpo de la letra / The body of the letter (2017)

Interdisciplinary work that combines contemporary dance and visual arts. It is inspired by texts of resistance during the dictatorship and how these texts dialogue with the bodies of the five performers who are generationally distant from their time of production. Here appears the question of how to talk about that horror from our corporealities.

Insurgencias Afectivas / Affective Insurgencies (2017)

Working process resulting from the laboratory Insurgencias Afectivas guided by the prominent artist, activist and thinker Silvio Lang. Movement practices, writing and scenic composition conditions were experimented under the question “How is it to create scenic narratives from what affects and organizes the relations of our bodies?

“We scenic artists are affective workers, who engage in a perceptive relationship with the affective forces of the world. We are not heroes or heroines, but historical agitators of affections in struggle”.

Nubes Grises / Gray Clouds (2015)

Nubes Grises was a scenic piece directed by the outstanding artist Nuri Gutés, in the context of Acciones Coreográficas, an instance of professional practice in the field of interpretation for students of the Dance Department of the University of Chile. The five performers deploy the choreographer’s movement language in relation to different materialities such as fabrics, jackets, t-shirts, revealing a world related to femininity, sensuality and the unexpected.

Vertebral (2016)

Vertebral was a scenic piece that was part of the Bicentennial program of the Dance Department of the University of Chile. It practically investigated the question of the conditions that bodies need to stay together. It stood out for including recently graduated performers and inserting them into the local artistic production circuit.

Gramática Afuera / Grammar Out (2016)

This scenic piece brought together two outstanding artists of the national scene: Nuri Gutés and Paulina Mellado. Elements of the creation methodologies of each artist were addressed, in order to come up with a piece language that combined both approaches to choreographic work.
